A friend has been collecting trading cards from all major North American sports leagues for the last 20 years. Most of the purchases were made between 1990 and 2000. These were bulk purchases, several boxes at a time (mostly special edition boxes), and to this date none of them have been opened and they have been well stored. Easily over 200,000 cards in total. Would it be best to open them up, see what treasures are inside and trade them online? Or would it be better to seek out someone who wants to buy them all in one shot, without knowing what’s inside? I justed signed up for Oneseason.com and want to know what other think and if they are signed up. They gave me 10 dollars and it is a player stock market. It goes up and down based on how many stocks are bought and sold. If anyone has signed up does the market go up and down a lot or does it stay steady? Does anyone like it? I like it but not sure if this will catch on. What do you think? It has players in the NBA, NFL, MLB, and NHL. I’m a novice in regards to investing. So I assume “penny stocks” refer to very low cost stocks. However, I wonder, what is the strategy and purpose for investing in them?
