If I buy a pink sheet stock, will my shares transfer to a normal stock exchange if company re-lists?

OTC and Pink Sheet stocks are VERY risky, but sometimes company’s must temporarily list there (Take Covad Communications for example) due to share that stay under $1 for long periods of time, or not filing with SEC in appropriate time frames. But when these companies straighten out their problems, they get re-listed. What happens to those shares?
