Reviews are in: Geithner clears the bar

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner scores a big political victory Monday.
It was bound to happen sooner or later.
Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner – who hasn’t had many winning days in his short tenure on Pennsylvania Avenue – scored a big political victory Monday, as Wall Street traders breathed new life into his career with a stock market rally of more than 300 points.
The morning began with Geithner briefing reporters on his new bank bailout proposal, which would use $75 billion to $100 billion in taxpayer dollars, plus money from private investors, to generate $500 billion to buy so-called toxic assets from troubled banks.

How Can A 15 Year Old Become Rich? And I Mean Rich!?

hey guys im turning 15 in two days and one of my goals in life is to become a millionare before a end college. I know that is a extremely challenging goal, but i am very determined and i know what i am doing. I know a lot about investing and the stock market and i have more common sense and street smarts than any 15 year old you’ll ever meet. I believe that my 8th grade education (no offense teachers) is not nearly as important as me going to the New York Stock Exchange for a day. Basically, my theory is that you shouldn’t study for a test on the last minute, right? So why start making money not nescessarily on the last minute, but during or after college? Instead why not start when you are very very young and therefore you’ll do very very well on your test aka life. You be successful without a doubt and you’ll have so many more advantages by starting so early…and guys i don’t mean making money by having a summer job at a super market…i mean making real money! Thanks people! [...read more]

Does A Free Market System Mean A Faux Reality System?

Is all of this fake money what caused the last great depression? Since the stock market is a gambling institution, does that mean it should be based on subjective fantasies of what money is worth? While deficits mount, how can we hope to give instrinsic meaning to money that isn’t there? Verily, exploitation is easy when money is based on subjective measurements. But should it be so? What regulations do we need to ground the value of money? [...read more]
