This depends on your goal and strategy. In general, I would say avoid penny stocks regardless. Reason being “investing” in penny stock is nothing more than speculating. There is not much fundamental to rely on to make decision. The stocks are also not liquid enough for any quantitative analysis to hold true. Try to buy something above $20, or at least $10 up. The first thing about investing is that “reduce the possibility of losing”!

I believe it is mutch easier with normal stocks than with penny stocks.
