I Need Help Understanding My Mutual Fund? Can Someone Tell Me What I Might Be Possibly Working With?

I forgot that I own a mutual fund, that I opened up in May 07. I had a friend that told me he made a lot of money of this one penny stock, so I figured I would try. The stock (BDGR) Black Dragon Resource never did do anything. In fact, as of right now I have 220 shares. I think it currently sits at $0.002. According to my Brokerage Acct. I also have a mutual fund Columbia Cash Reserve Daily (NSHXX). The quantity of that is 3.630, and it closed at $1.000. My value on that is $3.63.
Ok, its apparent that I dont have a clue into what I am doing. I opened up the acct in spring 07. I was wondering if someone can help me out and steer me in a good direction with that mutual fund. I know the penny stock I own is worthless and will always be worthless. But could that mutual fund be to some greater good for me? So can someone please give me info or even advise.
Also, I keep hearing that buying stock like GM, F and Coke would be a good time to do so. Not saying I am, but I am looking to learn more about stocks a little more this time around. With the economy down,it just might be a good time to buy and invest while its cheap and nobody else is buying. Thanks a lot,

I bet Obama (insert any number of things that there’s no evdience whatsoever that he’s done or would do)
And so on, endlessly. They all have one thing in common — they’re pure fantasy.
Why would anyone tell so many lies?
(PS — Please don’t bother telling us how he *has* smoked crack — he wrote in his book that as a teenager he used “blow” a few times, that is, powdered cocaine, a very different thing.)
